Weight Loss Goals for 2010

If you are anything like me you have trouble setting and keeping goals. Its not that we're lazy, its just that its hard to stay focused in our fast paced, hectic worlds.

I am a business owner, entrepreneur and Mother to 2 beautiful small boys. It really goes without saying that my life is fast paced. There are some days I can't find the time to shower, never-mind exercise. But that doesn't mean we can't lose weight by sticking to a diet that works.

We just need to pick the right diet and develop a plan. Being a Mom and a Biz owner have both taught me that life is much easier when you have a plan. No goal is unreachable when you take baby steps.

The baby steps of my new diet plan are to drink 8 glasses of water a day and to eat 6 small meals a day. Lots of people think eating just 1 meal a day will help them lose weight. This is completely wrong. Eating throughout the day helps keep your metabolism steady and increased which helps you to burn fat quickly. Don't fall into the one meal trap.

So, I will begin my plan on Monday - a small breakfast, sensible lunch, sensible dinner and smaller snack meals in between. I have found that lean proteins should dominate my meals, while granola, fruits and nuts work for my snacks.
